"I think the law of large numbers tells us when 15 million people are watching something several of them are going to be crazy." -- Aaron Sorkin
Welcome
to the NutHouse!
WingNuts:
(n.)
An
impervious group of mildly-unstable intellectual over-achievers who tumbled
sideways into becoming devout fans of The West Wing. The group
was officially and legally tagged with the sobriquet by the cryptically
named Enigmatic Ellie on Feb. 9, 2001.
Inspired by NBC's acclaimed series "The West Wing,"a show about imperfect people trying to form a more perfect Union.
NutHouse:
(n.) a.k.a.
The
WingNuts' apocryphal White House.
Also, the cyber-location--which has temporarily lost its federal funding,
but don't worry, we're working on it (have
some apples and peanut butter while you wait)--where
the WingNuts conduct weekly meetings devoted to plot assessment, shameless
character appreciation, deification of Aaron Sorkin (a.k.a. wanton practicing
of Sorkinism),
and frank discussions on the fashion trends in bathrobes.

Fiction
Original stories
and scripts by TheWingNuts,
based on characters created by Aaron Sorkin.
These pieces
are published with the outlandish hope
that A.S. comes
to us for input on the upcoming season
(yeah, we're
egomaniacs who think we're good writers, but check it out--some of us are).
